Overview

The Austin Amateur Golf point system is in place to rank players across three separate divisions (Open, Mid-Amateur and Senior). Throughout the yearly golf calendar, points are used to determine the Player of the Year for each division, as well as Rudy’s I-35 Cup qualifiers (Mid-Am & Senior divisions). Each tournament is based on a specific point scale, determined ultimately by field size and/or field strength.  Points are given for events as listed on the AAG schedulePoints for events not on the AAG schedule may be distributed to a player at the discretion of the AAG Committee.  A player’s point total consists of their highest five event points plus any miscellaneous points.
