Overview

The Austin Amateur Golf point system is in place to rank players across three separate divisions (Open, Mid-Amateur and Senior). Throughout the yearly golf calendar, points are used to determine the Player of the Year for each division, as well as Rudy’s I-35 Cup qualifiers (Mid-Am & Senior divisions). Each tournament is based on a specific point scale, determined ultimately by field size and/or field strength.  Points are given for Texas Golf Association and USGA events, however these events are not considered “local events”.

Eligibility

To earn points, each player must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Complete at least two local events from the current year schedule.
  2. A missed cut counts as a completed event.
  3. A withdrawal (WD), disqualification (DQ) or no card (NC) does not count as a completed event.
