Austin Rudy’s I-35 Cup team announced

Greg Smith is proud to announce the 2019 Rudy’s I-35 Cup team that will be competing against San Antonio on Nov 2 & 3rd at Fair Oaks Ranch in Boerne.
Greg has named Peach Reynolds and Ian Davis as Assistant Captains.
The Mid-Am’s will be Jonathan Alden, Jack Cersosimo, Robert Evans, Ryan Orear, Steve Paterson, Adam Wennerstrom, Alex Woodard, Jay Reynolds, Barrett Sandefur, Josh Luongo and Alex Ellis.
The Seniors on the team will be Gene Black, Chris Hartenstein and Ron Kilby.

Cersosimo and Black finish top in 2019 AAG Rankings

Congratulatons to Jack Cersosimo and Gene Black on finishing 2019 on top of the AAG Rankings. Jack finished 1st on the Open points list and 1st on the Mid-Am points list with a WIN at the Firecracker , a WIN at the Austin Men’s City and a T4 at Bluebonnet.

Gene finished 1st on the Senior points list wtih a WIN at the Austin Senior City, T6 at the Lions Spring Partnership and 10th place at the Central Texas Amateur.

Sandefur wins Austin Mid-Am Match Play

Barrett Sandefur defeated Jay Reynolds in 20 holes in the final match of the Austin Mid-Am Match play.  In the Semi-Finals Barrett had defeated Jonathan Alden 1up and Jay Reynolds beat Alex Ellis 1up.

In the Championship Consolation finals Grady Millikan beat Matthew Jungman 2&1.    Ravi Coutinho beat Todd Lacoste 8&7 to win the First Flight bracket.  Chris Badciong won the 1st Flight Consolation bracket by beating Jason Stoddard 6&5.

Texas Sr. Amateur complete – points are updated

logoThe 2019 Texas Senior Amateur was played this weekend at The Deerwood Club, in Humble, TX.  Gary Durbin, of Houston, came from six shots back to claim the title with a final round 73, for a 3-day total of 1-over par 217.

Austin’s Larry Nunez and Chris Hartenstein were the only two golfers from Austin that earned points.  The point rankings have been updated and represent the current Senior points race.
