Ryan shot a final round 66 which was low round of the day and tied Colby Harwell for overall. Ryan beat Colby on the 7th playoff hole.

Golf Course Update August 13th – The City of Austin Golf courses will reopen under modified operations this Saturday, August 15th. Tee times will be taken starting Friday at 7 am by phone and online. Face masks are required in all common areas and encouraged but not required on the course or practice areas. Patrons are limited to a maximum of 6 people in the pro shop at a time, masks required. All patrons must exercise social distancing. There will be NO DRINKING WATER on the golf course. Please bring your own water or beverage to the golf course. There will be limited to no concession service. No touch or removal of flagsticks and no sand rakes. Fivesomes are not permitted.

Lighthouse GC and Delaware Springs GC are hosting the Hill Country Dual City Classic on August 22nd and 23rd. Entry fee is $125 per player and you receive 2 rounds of golf on some of the best putting surfaces in not only the Hill Country but also the state. The format is a 2 player scramble both days with the field being flighted after Day 1 at Delaware Springs. All prizes will be paid out in cash.
This Petition is requesting the City of Austin open the City golf courses. Studies show that being outside can provide an emotional boost to help people feel less stress as well as provides a means of exercise for their physical and mental health.
In the current situation with the courses closed, the other area golf courses that are open have been overwhelmed with business. We also need the City of Austin courses to open as they provide Austin residents with golf at a reasonable cost.
The CoA recently opened the GreenBelt with reservations only. The CoA Golf Courses should be open with reservations only…no walk ons. During the time that the CoA courses were open during the pandemic the staff did a great job of creating guidelines and rules that protected both the staff and customers.
