Dylan shot a final round 70 at Morris Williams to finish at -11. Jack Cersosimo shot a final round 71 to finish in second at -7 and Brian Noonan finished in third at -6.
Jordan Davis of Round Rock McNeil shot a final round 76 for a 10 shot win over Michaelyn Farmer to win the Women’s City Championship.
Grady Bruce shot a final round 67 to finish T7 overall at -3 and capture Low Senior.
Grant Feldman shot +4 total for the 4 days to capture Low Junior.
Dylan Davis followed up a second round 1-under 71 at Grey Rock Golf Club with a 2-under 70 at Jimmy Clay to take a 3 shot lead into the final round of the 2021 Austin Men’s City Championship.
Jack Cersosimo, the 2019 Firecracker and Men’s City Champion vaulted into second place behind Davis with a 3rd round 67. Tyler Gammill and Gabriel Vallejo moved backwards on day 3, but are still 4 and 5 shots behind, respectively. Tied with Vallejo in fourth place is Brian Noonan.
Final round tomorrow is at Morris Williams Golf Course, with the final group teeing off at 10:29 AM.
Mitchell Griffin stepped on the tee of the 54th hole of the 2021 Firecracker Open in a 5 way tie, sitting at 10-under par. A birdie would have been good enough, as none of the other four players birdied their final hole, however Griffin made absolutely certain to seal his victory with an eagle 2 on the short par 4 18th. Griffin finished the 2021 Firecracker Open at 12-under par.
Alex Levy, Austen Fulmer, Dallas Hankamer and Alex Ellis ended in a tie for 2nd place with a final score of 10-under. Logan Boatner finished solo 6th place at 9-under par, followed by third round leader Jonathan Alden at 8-under.
2021 Champion in the First Flight is Jason Long, who finished 6-over par (219), getting better each day with rounds of 74-73-72. Todd Lacoste finished solo 2nd place with a 12-over par total (225) and Dennis Sokol finished 3rd at 17-over (230).
Austen Fulmer had 8 birdies and only 1 bogey on his way to shooting -7 (64), taking the first round lead by 2 strokes over Jack Cersosimo (2019 Champion), after the first round of the 2021 Firecracker Open. Cersosimo went bogey-free with 3 birdies and 1 eagle to shoot -5 (66).
A four-way tie for 3rd place after the first round is full of familiar names – Jay Reynolds, Alex Ellis, Alex Levy and Austin Cotton.
In the flighted division, the top 10 is full of “Rats” (if you know, you know) – Jason “J Lo” Long and Robert M. Evans are at the top, shooting +3 (74). Todd “Iron Man” LaCoste sits in solo 3rd place with a +4 (75), and Dennis “So Cool” Sokol is right behind at +5 (76). David White and Nathan Neal sit at +6 (77), while Sean Durkin is lurkin’ right behind at +8 (79), along with “The Commish” T. Ross Henry, Trevor “Irish” Spring, and Kirk Smith.
