Central Texas Amateur – Registration is Open

Registration for the 2020 Central Texas Amateur is now open.  The event will be held July 18-19, 2020 at Forest Creek Golf Club.  Cost is $200 per player, includes cart, range balls, lunch, dinner, prizes.  Eligible to all amateur golfers with a registered handicap of 7 or less.

Golf ATX update

Please see the following from the City of Austin:

Course Update Effective Friday, May 1st – Tee sheet expanded to 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Maximum 4 players per tee time. One spectator per player will be allowed. Spectators must stay off greens at all times and social distance.

Pro Shop Check- in is limited 2 patrons in the pro shop at a time. Masks are encouraged when entering building or common area. Single rider carts will be allowed on the 18 hole courses only. Maximum of two golf carts per group (pertains to rented or private). Two bags may be on the cart. Driver must be the same for the entire round, no switching please. Residents of the same household may ride in the same cart. All driving ranges (excluding Hancock) will re-open with social distancing and limits on spacing.

Golf ATX golf courses offer a great golf experience at an affordable price. The six city-operated public golf courses and one short-practice course are centrally located and minutes from downtown Austin. Each course is unique in design and setting, and golfers of all ages and skill levels visit the Golf ATX courses to play recreationally and competitively. Golf ATX – experience a round for yourself.

Austin Golf Course Update – modified operations begin 4/15 at 8:00am

Please note that tomorrow, April 15th, GolfATX courses will re-open with modified operations:

Course Update- Golf Courses will begin modified operations Wednesday, April 15th at 8:00 AM. Groups will be limited to 4 players at all locations. Golf carts will not be available at any location, golf walking only. Food and Beverage service will be phased in. 

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday specials will not be offered during this modified period. Face coverings/masks are required in and around the pro shop area for all patrons. No cash will be accepted and all payments will be made by credit/debit card.

APPROPRIATE SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE EXPECTED AND ENFORCED AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION AT ALL TIMES. Please visit GOLFATX.org to book your tee times or phone the course directly.

COVID-19 update for Austin courses

Please read the following update with regard to Golf ATX:

Paw-zKKE_400x400Effective Wed., 3/18/20 – While all Austin Parks & Recreation facilities are closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, and the City of Austin and Travis County discourage public gatherings of more than 10 people, walking only at the City’s municipal golf courses will currently be permitted. Golfers are advised that course amenities will not be open or operational if they choose to access the golf courses. On-site closures include: pro shop, golf cart rentals, restrooms, food concessions, and other amenities. Golfers choosing to access the course should practice social distancing from other golfers, as well as use hand sanitizer when coming into contact with course features. Golfers should avoid congregating in groups larger than 10 people. This provision may change at any time by order of the Health Department or authorized City of Austin official. Please be aware of golf course maintenance crews working on site.
