SA Regional Event rescheduled for Sept. 29-30th at La Cantera
The SA Regional event previously scheduled for this weekend at Vaaler Creek in Blanco has been moved. The 2018 schedule has been updated with this change. Please see the following message from SA Golf:
We have locked down the new date and course for the GSA Regional. It will be hosted at La Cantera Palmer Course September 29-30, 2018. Tee times will start at 11:58 am.
We understand this new date may conflict with other events or may not work with your schedule. If it does conflict, feel free to reach out to me and I will gladly take care of the refund.
Our goal is to always put out a Championship quality product for our competitors, and we did not feel that the greens at this time met this standard. A sudden change like this is never an easy one or an easy decision to make. We also unfortunately can never take care of everyone’s request. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Thank you for your understanding.

Updated rankings and September schedule
The 2018 point rankings have been updated through the Men’s City Championship. There are only four events left on this year’s schedule, one of which being the TX Mid-Amateur, to be held at River Oaks C.C. in Houston. A qualifier was held August 16th at Grey Rock, allowing for 7 golfers to represent Austin as participants in addition to those Austin-area players already exempt from finishing in the top 20 in last year’s event: Jonathan Alden, Josh Luongo and Tim Hamm. Steve Paterson gains an exemption for being the 2017 Mid-Amateur Mid-Master champion.
Sept. 8-9: San Antonio Regional at Vaaler Creek
Sept. 14-16: TX Mid-Amateur at River Oaks C. C.
Sept. 15-16: Austin Senior Men’s City Championship
