Congratulations to Jay Reynolds for firing a final round 68, for a six under total score of 136 and a one shot victory over Steve Paterson who finished at five under par 137.
Defending Champion Barrett Sandefur finished at three under par after shooting a final round 71, two strokes ahead of Matt Riley, Sam Wallach and Robert Evans who all finished at one under par 141.
Final tournament scores and standings along with Rudy’s I-35 Cup standings have been posted.
Even with gusty wind conditions, eight golfers broke par in the first round of the 2017 Spring Mid-Amateur Championship at Roy Kizer today. Defending champion Barrett Sandefur and four other golfers sit at the top, currently at 3 under par while three others are currently 1 under. Weather should be a factor again in the second round with thunderstorms predicted for most of the day. Second round tee times will begin early off both #1 and #10 in an effort to get a complete 36 hole event.
First round tee times for the 2017 Spring Mid-Amateur have been posted. Approximately 78 golfers will be in action starting at 8:00 on Saturday, April 1st. A change of venue was necessary this year due to poor conditions at Morris Williams, forcing this year’s event to Roy Kizer.

Registration for the 2017 Lions Spring Partnership is set for tomorrow morning, March 24th at 6:00 a.m. This tournament is open to all golfers for this 2-person best ball event. Please review the details regarding the registration process.
Additionally, the registration deadline for the 2017 Spring Mid-Amateur Championship (now moved to Roy Kizer) is March 27 at 6:00 PM. Sign up before the field gets filled.
