Robert Evans defeated Jonathan Alden 2&1 in the final match of the 2018 Austin Mid Amateur Match Play this past weekend, to claim his second consecutive victory of the season.  Evans advanced to the final match with a 1up victory over Wes Hansen, while Alden advanced with a 2up victory over Steve Paterson. Hansen and Paterson halved the third place match.  Thanks to Steve Hammond, Jimmy Olivares and the rest of the CoA crew for a great event.

The next event on the schedule are the two Firecracker qualifiers, to be held June 18th and June 23rd.  The Cup at Great Hills is set for the weekend of June 23-24.
