Seger Howell carried over his good play from round one to fire a second round 2-under 69 and maintain a two stroke lead in the 2018 Men’s City Championship. Jake Doggett shot one stroke better than Howell in the second round to stay two shots back. Howell stands at 7-under (135) and Doggett is at 5-under (137).
Brandon Rougeau sits alone in third place at 4-under (138), and there is a two way tie for fourth place between Josh Luongo and Jake Budde at 3-under (139) to round out the top 5.
Only 12 golfers were under par in today’s second round, with the biggest mover being Jake Budde who fired a bogey-free 7-under score of 64. Budde is no stranger to playing Lions, as he won the 2017 Firecracker with three solid rounds in the 60s.
Rounding out the top 10 are: Winn Smith and Ben Carter at 2-under (140), along with Tucker Tovar and Robert Evans at 1-under (141).
