Howell maintains 2 stroke lead; Doggett 2 strokes behind

Seger Howell carried over his good play from round one to fire a second round 2-under 69 and maintain a two stroke lead in the 2018 Men’s City Championship.  Jake Doggett shot one stroke better than Howell in the second round to stay two shots back.  Howell stands at 7-under (135) and Doggett is at 5-under (137).

Brandon Rougeau sits alone in third place at 4-under (138), and there is a two way tie for fourth place between Josh Luongo and Jake Budde at 3-under (139) to round out the top 5.

Only 12 golfers were under par in today’s second round, with the biggest mover being Jake Budde who fired a bogey-free 7-under score of 64.  Budde is no stranger to playing Lions, as he won the 2017 Firecracker with three solid rounds in the 60s.

Rounding out the top 10 are:  Winn Smith and Ben Carter at 2-under (140), along with Tucker Tovar and Robert Evans at 1-under (141).

Round three will be at Grey Rock Golf Club beginning at 7:30 a.m..  Final group tees off at 11:15 a.m. and you can follow scoring at the leaderboard and pairings right here.
